Hello there, it certainly has been a minute since my last post introducing myself and my family! Be sure to take a read of my previous blog post if you not had the opportunity yet, It will catch you up to speed!!

However, here is a QUICK recap of who I am! I am a proud mama of two handsome boys: Cayden (turning 3 years next month), and Hudson (8 months). I also have two beautiful German Shepherds (Mila 5, & Kona 1), and they are definitely my children as well. I am the Program Director for North Star Reach (NSR), a non-profit camp located in Pinckney, Michigan. We offer year-round programming for kids with serious medical challenges. Our goal is to help children reclaim their childhood as they embark on confidence-building adventures in a fun, medically sound environment. We also are planning a NSR Interstellar 5k Trail Run in October BUT more on that later! If you would like more info, then check out the following link: www.northstarreach.org

If you didn't know, I am a former division 1 college athlete (this has played a huge part in my life)! I played soccer at Loyola University Chicago and many of those girls are my good friends to this day, we actually just got back from Sedona celebrating our 10 year anniversary! (WOW, time does fly). One of them, in fact, is Cayden's Godmother, if that isn't chosen family, I don't know what is!? My passion is certainly running, working out, and my current obsession is spin classes through the Echelon FitPass! Nothing can compare to that feeling of an hour focusing purely on the betterment of yourself. Recently, I received my National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Personal Training Accreditation, with a focus in Women's Health and Nutrition. My husband, Nathan, has also just attained the NASM Personal Training Certification as well. Is that #powercouplegoals or what?! Haha, but in all seriousness, we help motivate each other everyday and it brings out the best in us!

So first, I wanted you all to know that I am open for any personal training questions or plans that you may be looking into! I can assist in a workout plan, how to prepare, and offer nutrition advice. We eventually will be building our own home gym to welcome any clients here in Howell, MI. Secondly, I will be discussing a different topic each week....whether if it is training for a half-marathon (which I will be running the Detroit Half-Marathon in October), ideas for a healthy and well-balanced diet, workout tips, my post pregnancy fitness journey or whatever random topics I may be able to squeeze in! Including, our whole house renovation...because why not? It will be madness over here for the rest of 2021.

Lastly, I will end this post with this! A bit of motivation. I know we ALL are crazy busy with our lives; if that is juggling kids, a demanding job, our beloved pets, social life, etc. The number ONE component when people mention they do not workout is because they simply do not have the time in the day to devote to themselves. It is important to find time for yourself, even if it's only 30 minutes a day. The best way I have heard it described to me is, it is not necessarily finding the time to workout, but it is intentionally creating the time dedicated to working out. You owe it to yourself to build a healthier and happier version of yourself. So let's do this!
